Yesterday, we listened a interesting speech that talk by Mr.Zhao. Mr.Wu told us that he is a very famous garden designer. He has designed many beautiful gardens in Nanjing and other city.
Do you know the meaning of Chinese garden? It mean that a piece of land that throw about by wall. There must be some water and it should have landform changes.
During his talk, I learn about why people says that the garden in Suzhou are very beautiful.
First, the garden in Suzhou always divided into 2 parts. They are living parts and garden parts. The living parts is very symmetry. It pursuit a felling of harmony. Chinese people think the symmetry house is beautiful and you can live in it comfortable.Did you know? The house are mostly built for literati. And they like these kinds of house very much. The garden parts are irregular. It can make a vision like in nature but not in cities. There are might be a small water pocket,some trees and flowers and pavilions. Although the water pocket is small,but it looks like a vision of lake. There are some bridges over the water too. If you walk around the garden you may find that the garden has noting similar. You can sit under the tree or take a bird view in high building in the garden..............
I like this speech very much because i think the speaker speaks very specific and the content of his speech is very interesting,too. He used many famous poems and many wonderful pictures in his PPT. I like this speech even others sleep beside me. I think it is a good chance to learn more about Chinese culture and history. I hope you can understand me.
